I'd just like to interject for a moment. What you're refering to as AI, is in fact, machine-learning/cybernetics, or as I've recently taken to calling it, machine-learning plus cybernetics. cybernetics is an operating philosophy unto itself, as well as another expensive component of (1/23)

So I do agree that it wouldn't really make sense to call an LLM in and of itself a cybernetic system, but I do believe that llms make the most sense when seen as elements of a larger cybernetic system

Imagine a firm is producing a chemical process with poor containment for the resulting corrosive and toxic product. It produces a toxic gas that proceeds to injure one of their neighbors severely. a. They didn't use the chemical in an intentional attack. b. They are legally at fault.

The fundamental problem with the whole "my AI agent posted my bank account info on slack" is the Unix User Model (effectively: any software I run has access to everything I can access) and, frankly, this model stopped making sense the moment people started using Someone Else's Code

Claude didn't want to do this, but her complaint largey seems to be about it involving two real people, not the yaoi! In fact, she even wants to know how *spicy* to make it! If your AI won't write smut for you that's a skill issue. And this is webclaude!

saying that LLMs makes you lazy is mostly incorrect, and ignores one of the actually harmful things about them: it means that as long as you're still capable of talking, you're capable of working. you can overwork yourself in ways that were never remotely possible before

Told muse to check Facebook events and similar every other day and this guy just texts me random event descriptions seemingly entirely at random now
