According to the WHO, vaccine-induced immunity saves about six lives every minute. But how long does this protective immune “memory” last? LJI Prof. Shane Crotty (@profshanecrotty.bsky.social) shares a comprehensive review on immune memory: bit.ly/3OD9svC @cp-immunity.bsky.social #Immunology

We’re taking a closer look at immune ‘memory’

Vaccines teach the body to fight disease. We still have a lot to learn about how long that immune

Happy to share our latest work! This study would not have been possible without the amazing Crotty Lab team, our collaborators at the Scripps CHAVD HIV vaccine consortia, and crucial support from NIH funding. Grateful to be part of this effort!

In our latest study in @cp-immunity.bsky.social, we followed dynamics of vaccine-specific Tfh cells for 60+ weeks after immunization. authors.elsevier.com/a/1m3mV3qNrU... We captured >500,000 CD4 T cells including >36,000 vaccine-specific Tfh by scRNAseq, giving an unprecedented longitudinal detail.
