ah to be young again! and also a robot (he/him)

I think people are seeing the mass arrests of people for wearing t-shirts and holding signs in support of Palestine Action and are assuming there's One Weird Trick to force the cops to treat Nazis the same

Mallory Moore@sexabolition.blog · yesterday

www.thenational.scot/news/2641894... This is great and all, but the police already ignore it when Nazis turn up with Combat 18 flags and combat 18 has been banned since they went on a bombing spree in Muslim Jewish and Gay areas in London.

as we saw with Charlie Kirk it’s extremely notable that no fans of Rod Liddle include any of their favourite quotes from him in their tributes

"losing *more* votes to the Greens" is the absolutely key phrase here: Sturgeon does actually get it! The wing currently in the ascendence in the SNP are all absolutely convinced that the end of the BHA saved them, as opposed to SNP polling remaining flat from before collapsing it until this year

Nicola Sturgeon has warned John Swinney that the SNP risks losing more votes to the Scottish Greens under the party’s current policy direction 👇

Didn’t realise Nicola Sturgeon was speaking at the Belfast arts festival that kicked those transphobes out, that’ll drive them even more insane

On the one hand I do think that the UK’s structural problems are only worsening and Andy Burnham (and the Labour Party in general) do not have any meaningful solutions to that, but on the other I think Starmer *was* uniquely shit and we shouldn’t expect Burnham to become as unpopular as quickly

If I post an album on Instagram that contains photos of a demo and counter-demo, would that mean I was endorsing everyone I took a photo of? Would anyone I tagged in any of the photos be assumed to be supporting everyone else who was photographed, including their placards, etc?

since when has sharing an album full of pictures from an event meant you personally endorse everyone in the album and any text or symbols they might be carrying or wearing, let alone being potentially prosecuted for that supposed endorsement

Have just been reminded of those “Kill The Bill” protests in the early 2020s against the Tories’ crackdowns on public protest, which included commentators on social media pretending to be terrified that the name really meant “murder police officers”. People saying that stuff under their own names.
