You got to admit, DnD going full Magic the Gathering is a smart business move. It's 100% tacky and lame, but people WILL eat it up, and DnD will remain the top dog of the industry for the next decade, at least.
As recompense for not submitting this year, I'll be attempting to read and review all the Cairn-based Appx N submissions.

I've been molding over this thought, but I see a lot of devs, writers, and movie people say that AI gives them ideas they never would have thought of. My reply is that it's GOOD that our thoughts are limited because they are OUR thoughts. Don't let your ideas be overwritten. Use your voice.

Life has gotten in the way of me finishing my Appx. N Jam entry, so I'll have to pull out this year. Welp, into the pile of half finished ideas it goes. Hopefully, it can be recycled into something in the future.

The more I go diving, the more I want to translate elements of it into adventures I run. Not necessarily water-based, but what does bouyancy, decompression, or air supply mean in a fantasy context. What if just going deeper into a dungeon is taxing on your body. Stuff like that.
I was tailed by a friendly nurse shark on my dive today. Whenever I looked back, it would freeze on the sand.
This is Erstwhile, the first RPG system I made. In just a trifold, I wanted to make a game about ordinary people in the early middle ages. If I were to revisit it, I would add some procedures, guidance for playing in a historical setting, and a few adventures. eucatastrophic.itch.io/erstwhile
