In August I resigned from Respawn and have stepped away from the Apex Legends team. It is time to pursue my ambition to build my own studio. It has been a career highlight working on Apex for 18 seasons. Thanks for playing and for all the feedback. See you on the dropship!
#Capcom has been killing it with Resident Evil Requiem, Pragmata, and Onimusha this year. We got Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark Arisen right around the corner in October. What needs to happen for Lost Planet to make a return?
Stop stop stop treating this $5k check thing like it’s real. It’s just…not.
Rolled credits on Blasphemous 2. Imagine a forgiving 2D soulsborne/metroidvania blend with incredible pixel art. Solid combat, fun challenging bosses, and a unique Spanish gothic world to explore. Had great time playing this gem by @thegamekitchen.com on the Steam Deck.
the thing about indie games is that if someone designs one single game I love, I’ll get whatever they make for the rest of their lives and pretty much always have a good time. people are so attached to ip but imo you really gotta know the creators.

Every object oriented language introduction starts with showing the clean hierarchy of dog and cat inheriting from animal, while every real codebase is like
i think this is a contender for the stupidest line of code i've ever written
It's shame the only place you can still play Rogue Squadron II is on GameCube. I would pay good money to play on up-resed version on PC.
Completed another long standing backlog game, Metroid Prime. I got pretty far in the GameCube version, but memory holed it hard. Couldn't remember much past the first boss. Really enjoyed the remaster! The world exploration is great and has no other real comparable FPS experience.

"Indies will save us" No! YOU WILL SAVE INDIES! Go leave a review for that neat indie game you like, share the trailer for an upcoming game you're anticipating, tell your fave developer they did a good job, go tell people about such and such game that's just come out, you can make a difference!

I slept too long on Metroid Dread. Finished my first playthrough at 100%. When I got to Raven Beak, I didn't want it to end and went back to collect everything. Fantastic game both docked and handheld. Will consider doing a hard mode run after some time away.
Since May 1, I've altered my diet to manage gastritis and it reinforced a critical lesson. You can't out work a bad diet. Lean protiens, veggies, and rice. Low fat, no alcohol, no caffeine. Same workouts, dropped 25+ pounds. Gastritis is no fun, though. I really miss spice and flavor!
One of my favorite games last year, and was fantastic to play through on the Steam Deck. Gorgeous pixel art and fun movement and combat. Check it out!
It's been one year since this moment... Today, we celebrate the first anniversary of NINJA GAIDEN: Ragebound! 🥷🎉
"We call these boomer shooters." "Right, cos of all the booming." 'Oh, no that's not why." "Then why?" (Deep breath) "So in the aftermath of the second world war..."
Found these amazing Hollow Knight chalk drawings in the local park. Go Moe and Amy.
I have spent the past few months using a 0.5mm pen, and I don't know why I didn't make the switch from 0.7mm sooner. The finer line has made marked difference my notes. They are still only read by me, but at least guessing has gone down!
Daily reminder that GDscript supports the Sumerian clay table alphabet, Akkadian cuneiform of ancient Mesopotamia. This is perfectly valid code you can write in your game:
If you want to dampen the intrinsic joy of an activity, add a rating system. Once the rating is there, the activity shifts to focus to the extrinsic rating, and away from the joy of doing the activity. I feel this actuely with my golf handicap.
Rolled credits on Donkey Kong Bananza and really enjoyed it. Took some time to warm up to it as I was expecting more of "Mario" experience. Glad it went in a unique direction with destruction. If I want Mario, I'll play Mario. Great in handheld mode. Easy to pause when the kids need me.
Being reminding that Halo is 25 years old today due to the remake launch is a reminder that: The march of time is relentless I am getting old It doesn't feel that long ago, but it is!
