Every year, hundreds of people walk silently through the streets of Minneapolis… looking at the windows of the houses. It's the Wedge Cat Tour: the residents put the cats in the window and the crowd stops to admire them. Yes. This exists. 😹
Now that Valve made Linux gaming super viable I'm now 100% on Linux day-to-day. Next step: getting my RGB controls on my tower on par with the proprietary controls on Windows. #OpenRGB is about 90% of the way there, but there are some missing features for my AIO cooler. Time to reverse-engineer...
With the new Steam Machine coming out with an Arch-based Linux distro, it seems like "I use Arch, btw" will become even less of a flex than it used to be. Assuming the Steam Machine sells well, anyway.

The hardest part of the GenCon calendar backend that I'm working on with a friend is finally over! My Rust-based backend can now import about 20K events into Postgres in a little under 30 seconds 🦀💪 The work I did on the Rust backend template really paid off!
Silent Hill F release date AND they're having Bloober remake Silent Hill 1?? In the same day??? Thank you @konamina.bsky.social 🙏
Barnes & Noble knew EXACTLY what they were doing when they set up the books near checkout 🤣
Just accepted a position where I'll be building with Rust for Disney! This is my first actual Rust position, super hyped about it 😁
Reminder—if you see ICE in the city, report it and help keep your neighbors safe.
🦀 Hubstaff - From Rails to Rust - Microservices, high load operations ported to Rust - @tauri.app for the desktop app - Once developers are up to speed, there is no noticeable slowdown in development - Rust transformed fear into confidence corrode.dev/learn/case-s... #rustlang
I just recently set up #OpenTelemetry in a personal #rustlang project I'm working on with @nikawritesthings.bsky.social . It's wildly cool, showing latency at the function level in a running application and even log messages that were emitted along the way! It wasn't hard to set up either
I think something like 50,000 people showed up to the #PeoplesMarch in DC! So messed up that gun safety and women's rights take second place to expensive groceries 😮💨
There's never enough time to do all the things I wanna do 😞
Didn't realize I only needed a domain name to change my username 😎 new handle is much cleaner!
Is your team new-ish to Rust? Have you ever considered bringing in someone external for code reviews and advice? I'm available!
Yep, that's pretty much my deal - I stick to more story-focused games rather than competitive ones for this exact reason lol
love that my favorite hobby is video games but im also incredibly bad at playing video games
Before & After: I don’t think people realize the extent to which parked cars degrade public space.
by the way What We Do In The Shadows is maybe the funniest series on TV right now? why had no one told me?* *I know at least a dozen people told me but I kept forgetting, shut up, I'm watching it now and it's the best
