People assume Seattle and London have essentially the same climate but grass in Seattle goes dormant every summer while London stays green year-round (except this year😢).

Jeez. At Seattle Streets Alliance, we don't even have internal conversations about (let alone endorse) candidates at meetings or on any communications medium (email, discord, Google docs, etc.) sponsored or used by the organization. But these clowns just post a bunch of endorsements on Instagram.

Tree Action Seattle, a sponsored organization of the Seattle Parks Foundation - a 501(c)3 org - put up an Instagram post last night promoting candidates who had been endorsed by TreePAC. I do not believe that little disclaimer at the bottom is going to cut it here.

I also think it’s so interesting that the story doesn’t point out that one reason this was the one first thing the new Mayor did is because of the grassroots organizing of @fixthel8.bsky.social. But we aren’t whiny NIMBYs so I guess we can’t be cast as having built strong community support.

This story is fine, but the headline the Seattle Times chose implies that a new bus lane is forcing drivers to just "find a new" route to I-5. No, the engineering project actually includes a new route to I-5. Anything to make it look like a progressive mayor is causing chaos, I guess?

WE ARE PEDESTRIANIZING THIS STREET. Core stakeholders are meeting with SDOT and their consulting team for three hours tomorrow to set the design parameters for future Crockett Plaza.

The Yale slip lane is now permanently closed, with Boren handling all I-5 traffic! We had a great time meeting the SDOT crew and can't wait to see the improvements this will bring for the L8! We'll head back down later today to share some more photos after everything is fully installed.

For the record: NOPE. Honestly, I don’t think there’s an issue today I care about on a personal level more deeply than trans rights. And it’s rough out there right now. Bigots on one side of the political aisle and too many cowards on the other. ⬇️
