My big KH grand theory going forward is the conflict will be the keyblade war but in reverse with the 7 guardians of light being the foretellers/MoM and the former guardians will be the new Seekers of Darkness w/Xehanort and Vanitas to try and preserve balance. Sora will start as a Foreteller
KH fans have seen their previous boy sora go through so much pain and torment. They saw aqua in Disney hell for 10+ years and Xion killed by Roxas and immediately forgotten. But I've never seen the community have so much hate for a character than De La Cruz. Instagram going feral

i think the big data center backlash has a lot to do with technology getting worse, costing more, building a surveillance state, destroying the environment, owned by a class of wealthy elite that coalesced behind the fascist regime that made clear they’d sacrifice humanity for their own power growth

Adding onto this. There's always this desire when you're starting a big series like this to "catch up" but its best to just play at your own pace. These games aren't terribly long compared to other RPGs, and you'll digest the stories, characters, and themes better if you don't rush.

The more I watch the KH4 Trailer, the more I become convinced the game will not end with Sora being rescued/Return. Its still probably my Foreteller theory, but KH rarely had happy endings. And everyone appears to be finding him way too easily for something to not go terribly wrong at the end
