Just for the record, I don't have the luxury of releasing stuff from the hip. I work a day job, do my own "mixing and mastering", my own coverart, my own videos, my own promotion,... This isn't to brag, just to let you know I'm limited in that regard.

It’s Friday! For #FeatureFriday a group of us take turns picking an album by a BlueSky artist to listen to and write about. This week, we covered We Are Not There But We Are Here by SHOPFIRES (@shopfiresmusic.bsky.social), an album that really drew me in with repeated listening.

Happy #FeatureFriday, folks! This is the day of the week, where we search the darkest corners to find an album by a BlueSky artist and present it to you. Today we have something jangly and poppy (kinda) for you: "We Are Not There But We Are Here" by @shopfiresmusic.bsky.social!

Just for the record, I don't have the luxury of releasing stuff from the hip. I work a day job, do my own "mixing and mastering", my own coverart, my own videos, my own promotion,... This isn't to brag, just to let you know I'm limited in that regard.

I only just fully listened to this today and it is so good. The lyrics are confronting yet poetic and the beats are unconventional yet catchy. Bristol just seems to be a hotbed for wonderful creatuve music...

Thinking about my track 'Avarice' (from my latest single 'Song so good').... bofbriz.bandcamp.com/track/avarice I love how accusatory this is! Writing it in the third person was supposed to be evocative of our complicity in a system which depends on human misery. #musicsky #newmusic #antifascism
