I found this eggshell beneath the crepe myrtle behind my house. the mourning doves nest in that tree. I thought it was a whole egg but it was just the shell

I’m at the end of day one of a three-day work conference with more than 500 people, and my social battery is already completely dead. I’m so tired that I can’t sleep. And today was only four hours.

My boss uses this very specific regional grammatical construction where she says “of a” instead of “in the” to talk about times of day. Ex: “If you go out of a morning, the traffic’s really heavy, but if you’re there of an evening, it’s not bad.” I find it really charming. I love stuff like that.
