I'd argue that, for the metrics, it's vastly MORE important that viewers turn this off. There's more viewers than streamers, so even if every streamer turned this off, if viewers don't, the executives can still claim that "most users don't care" and cram it down our throats even harder. Opt out.

Even if you're just a viewer and not a streamer, tell them through metrics that you reject AI: Twitch.tv > Settings > Security and Privacy > Training for Generative AI: OFF

Because of a friend, I've had Microsoft Flight Simulator 2019 redownloading overnight. ...over multiple nights. Averaging circa 240 KB/sec, while a Steam download - while this was running! - hit the 10280 KB/sec throttle point I have set.

Fuck that. If this goes through and they start training off of streams, I'm leaving Twitch. Period. There are other places to go, Twitch is just the biggest and easiest to work with. Tell Twitch what you think about their usage of GenAI: twitch.uservoice.com/forums/92338...

Twitch and Amazon are apparently planning to use streams to train Generative AI. Multiple sources tell me it will be announced in the coming months, despite some internal friction against it. Creators may be able to opt out of some training data.

Try two, since it corrupted the images last time. Yesterday, I drew @thoril.bsky.social as a sassy Southern sister. (The target was "butch fatale", but I kinda veered off-course quite a bit...) This was the longest I've used the drawing tablet in one sitting in the past three (!) years.

Thoril, a muntjac deer, stares smugly at the viewer. They are wearing a hoop earring, eyeliner (resulting in a long eyelash), eyeshadow, and a polo shirt. Text beside them reads, in cursive, "Oh, honey... you really need to stop clicking on those 'free Robux' scams..."Thoril, a muntjac deer, paints their cloven hooves pink while talking on an old-fashioned telephone headset.
