After seven fun, productive years as a #LagoLab PhD student, @laymonstera.bsky.social is off to a postdoc Berkeley with Sarah Kocher. I’m going to miss her but she’s so ready for her career ahead!! (We’d all be crying in this goodbye photo if we weren’t going to see her on Sunday at #botany2026 😅)

I'm so pleased to see this phylogenomic tour-de-fource out in AJB! This is a core result of @evoyeyo.bsky.social's @lsuscience.bsky.social dissertation, and he adds #Brachyotum to the list of high Andean plant clades shaped by introgression and characterized by high gene tree discordance. #LagoLab
