We achieved our goal in SMB2J Mario & Luigi Warpless! Only two runs in and we got 45:46 w/o loads, or 46:18 w/loads. This run had 0 hits, however I played a lot of things safe so this is the equivalent of a really fast 2-hit run. Regardless, I'm happy enough to move on!

Tried out a new SMB2J category where you beat 8-4 warpless with Mario, and then do the same with Luigi. Got a new world record of 46:04 w/o loads! Run was mostly decent until world 7 of the Luigi run. Depending on how my future attempts go, I'll aim for either low 45:5x or any 45:4x!
For SMB2J All Stages (Luigi -> Mario), we achieved the first 37:0x run (by ONE frame)! We took an unfortunate hit in 7-4 but a good recovery in world 8 gave us a chance entering world A. Really happy to put this category to rest!
About 2 years and 2 months ago I did my first speedrun (an over 2 hour 70 start run) and never would have dreamed I'd take the game this far. Now this feels like only the beginning.
took two weeks off mario & the first run back was my first sub 1 hour in 70 star lol?
I also got a last-minute 9 Star PB with a 12:56 (28th place)! Weak beginning but golded BitS and I'm pretty sure that's the best I've ever done in a run :D Glad I at least cracked the 13:30 tier, gonna keep streaming for some last minute 16 attempts, we'll see :P

As a professional Zelda speedrunner and lifelong fan of the series, many people have been asking me for my take on the Ocarina of Time remake. My opinion on the game is yet undetermined and hinges on one singular point: how they model Bombchu Bowling Alley lady.
I came into the year with 2 goals - 55 (low-key sub 55 but I wasn't sure if that was too ambitious) and sub 2. With one goal down 120 is on the menu, and 1:59 has never felt more achievable.
Last night I technically PBed in 1 Star, but it was by .3 seconds and within the same second barrier so I didn't really pop off (8:32.9->8:32.6). HOWEVER, for league purposes I scored points, so that means it's time to finally return to 16 Star.

Today, in an alt stream where I expected to just throw attempts at a wall, I got my first ever 0 Star run with Ultimate DDD Skip in SIX FREAKING ATTEMPTS and I got a 7:56!!! GO HOMIE SQUAD AND THANK YOU COSMA FOR TEACHING ME ULTIMATE
Got 38:17 in 240 Fireworks (SNES)! Not a perfect run as I got hit in 5-4 and missed 3 IGT cycles, however I don't feel much of a need to improve this run. SoB is down to 37:44 so a sub 38 is very doable. Very interesting how All-Stars is significantly faster for this category!
I'm literally so close to a 1 Star PB for league that I can taste it. FGSM Crackslide is literally a 1 try almost every time, and I keep leaving Fire Sea over 10 seconds ahead. If BLJs would just cooperate and then I keep my cool in Sky, we're actually in there.
