At our @imbrace-erc.bsky.social workshop, we were joined by migrants from Afghanistan, Lebanon, Iran, Pakistan, Morocco, Egypt and Ethiopia. We used 2 creative methods: body maps to uncover embodied experiences of heat; postcards to reflect on heat adaptation needs in Athens, Greece.

From what I know (I know very little about the local housing policy) only 1.8% of total housing in Barcelona is public housing (mainly outside the center). For context in Paris this is around 25%, Berlin is roughly 6%. 2/3
Kind reminder that developers, real estate companies and banks are the real culprits. Harassing digital nomads and tourists won’t even come close to solving the housing crisis in Barcelona.
I caved in. I joined. Let's see how long this platform lasts till it is swallowed whole by AI, data mining, right-wing capitalism and crazy billionaires who want to rule the world. Also just amazed at how blatantly similar the design and layout of the site is to what we just left behind. Deja vu?
