The Decolonial Conference is back next year (the first one was 🔥)! Consider joining this crossing, built by and with scholar-activists and movements committed to decolonisation beyond the academy. Anyone keen to co-write a proposal on US Empire and Indigenous resistance in the Philippines?

Check out the CfP for the 2027 Decolonial Conference! We invite proposal submissions to our theme "US Imperialism and Anti-Colonial Resistance." Proposals are due January 10, 2027. On Oct. 8-9 we will have the in-person conference in Los Angeles, and Oct. 2- 3 will be fully online.

I fear that, in order for the US & Israel to avoid further retaliation & humiliation by Iran, they may see the use of a nuclear weapon as the only way to hide the weaknesses Iran revealed & reestablish a position of strength that’s clearly dwindling. A dying empire has no limits.

The denial of tenure was never about scholarship. It was a retaliatory move from @texastechlib.bsky.social to send a chilling message: dissent that threatens institutional power will be punished. Shame on Ron Hendrick, Brendon Creighton, Lawrence Schovanec turned tenure into a political tool!

I received over 90% of the votes at the department and college levels, yet the provost denied me tenure. I met and exceeded the promotion and tenure guidelines and expectations as well as my annual and mid-tenure reviews.
