Guess that (news) woke me up at night, but anyways I have to file it as a task at @recaptime.dev's GitLab issue tracker for InfraOps to avoid those surprise downtime after shutdown of Deno Deploy. Track progress and updates: gitlab.com/recaptime-de...

We're making the Cloudflare developer platform the best place to run JavaScript, anywhere. Big step toward that today: the Deno team is joining us to build what’s next. https://cfl.re/4rXMBKy

That's a very diabolical reading this late to be honest. 👀💀

RE: https://toot.community/@support/116999041733337412 Reminder: We're closing our doors at the end of October. If you haven't moved your account yet, please do so!

Good morning from the Philippines, builders and devs in the open social web! Just cross-posting this one from the Atmosphere via Bluesky since I'm more active there. Just curious about what's the state of burnout and bus factors within both the fediverse + atmosphere ecosystems, so feel free to […]

While we'll not going to start a fresh under a much shorter name (to avoid duplicates and to minimize admin headaches for @stux), we'll work on a refreshed introduction post about this project since we've been cooking over at the other side of the #OpenSocialWeb, more specially via #leafletpub […]

RE: https://toot.community/@support/116999041733337412 #statusupdate: @ajhalili2006 on the line here, we're officially back to mstdn.social more than a month after @jorijn announcing about the shutdown of toot.community. While we're sad that it happened due to how depressing social media has […]

Hmm, I can't post a magnet-link here, even though the ActivityPub-Spec supports that protocol: https://docs.joinmastodon.org/spec/activitypub/#sanitization Neither via @phanpy nor via mastodon-web The char-limit of my instance is 500, which is less than the particular magnet-link has. This […]

Calling on fediverse moderators: if you see a post that kind of, sort of borders on racism, but you're not really too sure: yep, you're definitely dealing with a racist. Learn about dog whistles. Get a Black person on your moderation team. None of the redesigns and user experience tweaks will […]

Most of the world’s 1.3 billion black people are banned from even visiting the US. In addition, those who aren't banned face steep, racist fees not charged to non-black people, particularly white people. That's what they mean by #MAGA […]

also apologies for the delay at @updatesradio.lorebooks.wiki + @multifandom.andreijiroh.dev's Atmospheric #Furry Radar, just general life stuff but I promise to actually finish the entire "digging through the backlog" for realises

good late evening from the Philippines, open social web people! might be the last late night session before classes start for 2Y1 (2nd year first semester) in college later morning

I can't even put into words just how much #Kavinsky has shaped my taste in music to this day. For me, #Drive was what sparked my interest in diving into the world of #synth #music in the first place. The many facets of the genre still run through my mind. Because of it, I started buying records […]

Thoughts on my custom @anisota.net custom spell to tame doom-swiping through posts past midnight? https://anisota.net/profile/andreijiroh.dev/net.anisota.spell.custom/mqwdrdtwn8xdgw Also attached is the screenshot for the description and spell effects, see alt text for details.

To the contrary: If Bluesky wins, or if Nostr or some new open, decentralized social platform wins, that only benefits the whole. The open social web is ONE web. I get prefering one, but being religious over ActivtyPub, vs ATProto vs Nostr protocols is silly and like POP3 email vs SMTP email […]

[thoughts about 'bad people' and whateve;r] tbh i think part of the reason i sometimes say there are no bad people, is because of the fact that 'bad people' are only able to do what they do because of wider system legitimizing and/or enabling them .. i guess, but like without such a system in […]

The idea of banning minors from using social media is at its heart an attempt to punish victims instead of going against the perpetrator. If minors are more easily victimized by the predatory practices of large tech corporations it's not their fault. The blame lies squarely on the corporations […]

welcome back to the fediverse, @drew! just saw your blog redesign post recently also thoughts about bridging to the Atmosphere/AT Proto side of things via @bsky.brid.gy (and use your blog site domain as handle) than self-hosting a PDS server (might be great for some sourcehut users in my […]

Heyo @hallo! I requested to add your logo for Simple Icons at https://github.com/simple-icons/simple-icons/issues/12688 but Lucas Becker (https://github.com/runxel) mentioned that your rocket icon is somewhat "controversial" (context for readers: they got a cease & desist for that couple of […]

Walmart is implementing digital price tags across all their stores by the end of the year. We’re entering an era when the price you pay is not correlated to the cost of a product to stores, but “optimized” for the maximum amount you can personally afford. Surveillance capitalism is what will […]
