New publication from the ECHO project🥳My former MSc student Jørgen Krøglid did great work on rib microstructure in ichthyosaurs and toothed whales, and we learnt a lot from it. Turns out these animals differ quite a lot inside their ribs! With Mathieu Faure-Brac in PeerJ peerj.com/articles/214... 🧪

Huge day for reptile evolution. We FINALLY find strong morpho-/paleontological support for Pantestudines with Archosauria. WOO! 🐢 + 🐊🦩 Eunotosaurus is firmly down on the reptile stem. "Eu-not-a-turtle" amirite?? Phylo tests ALL prior candidates for turtle origins in one deeply satisfying work.

Forget about Spinosaurus or Tylosaurus rex. This is by far the most impactful paper of 2026. I heard it was coming but was still amazed. Eunotosaurus is a millirettid and I am convinced of it!
