"Why don't you go to the bathroom in more survival games?" is a joke that came up during our podcast over the summer. I reached out to developers about it, and their answers were complicated and fascinating, from spiraling design issues to the deeper meaning behind where to put the toilet
![For Green Hell’s decision not to include pooping, the challenges were less about gameplay systems and more about the player experience.
“Green Hell is a first-person game, so the first problem is the perspective—you can't see your back, and you don't know when [defecating is] happening,” said Stawicki. “The second is the need to stop during the act, and–as you might guess–escaping a jaguar with food poisoning and requiring a pit stop is a terrible way to die.”
But this act of having to stop–of not just needing to go to the bathroom, but needing to find a place to go–can be a bonus rather than a detriment. Both Fedor and Feltham felt that players having to find a toilet added something to their games. Feltham said that the need “provides an additive aspect to level design and exploration–find the toilet!”

Seen a lot of people talking about the terrible Bison characterization in the new movie and after watching it I 100% agree but as someone who stomached years of fighting that character the thought of a Bison player being subjected to it is doing a lot for me
I love how you can tell half the VAs interpreted this line as "I'm on my way to a location called rat" and the other half interpreted it as "I am commencing the action of ratting"
