This Tommy Tuberville thing is important because it's a bizarre claim with a lot of attention to a totally random thing about the fandom, nowhere near the spooky scary lewd stuff people clutch their pearls over. Ideally, this should be a wake up call for people.
I try to keep Telegram chats belonging to departed friends, so I can still leave messages occasionally and maybe it will get to them somehow. But eventually the inactive account gets auto-deleted, their profile pic replaced with a ghost, and I can't leave messages anymore. Just...sucks.
The name "ferret-badger" is a mouthful. Given to the animal in 1931 by Isidore Geoffroy Saint-Hilaire as "belette blaireau" ("badger-weasel") which also became the genus: "Melogale" is from Greek Meles ("badger") + -gale ("weasel"). They have the body of a ferret, the head & nose of a badger. 😄
