one of the best decisions you can make as an artist is to stop talking about your artwork from a position of defending it. the artists statement should be a tool of pride, community, and conversation, not an appeal to those who had no interest in (or ability to) understand it in the first place.

I challenged myself to create an illustration that could work as a standalone horizontal illustration, a poster, a square icon, a web banner, and a wraparound book cover. I got some drawing done for Chapter 1 today. Still a lot to do, but I'm making my way down the list and trying to be patient with myself.

I was running on 4 hours of sleep today because I drank too much caffeine yesterday... So I had some very unsuccessful attempts at tackling a project. I have to believe tomorrow will be much better. (；・∀・)
