Watched the OoT trailer again and I think I quite like the way it looks. Some of the more "normal" environment bits (like rocks) are too realistic compared to the more stylized areas. Maybe that's by design since it's places like the Forest Temple that look so stylized. But yeah, good stuff!
A lot of the OoT remake models look weird, but the original version is ugly and as a general rule, I tend to avoid ugly things as often as possible. So this is a win for me
I'm no analyst but Nintendo tying nice (subjective) looking remakes of their most popular games with big media events seems like a good way to attract new audiences. If nothing else, it's at least more effort than the other big platform holders are making!
I'm firmly in the "I prefer it when remakes do something different" camp, but if there is a Super Metroid remake and all it does is remove those horrid grapple segments, that's enough for me
