“Are you going to impeach?” I think is actually a trap question by the media who want to paint Democrats as out for “revenge.” I suspect a proper answer would be “we will be providing long absent oversight of the executive branch and if we find evidence that warrants impeachment we will act.”

The amusing thing about Musk saying Blue Texas will motivate him to build data centers in space is that “data centers in space” is a magnificent bit of bullshit, so he’s either desperately bluffing or has reached critical mass in buying his own bullshit.

"The MAGA movement looked at Texas as their own private law firm, which happens to have been publicly funded, which I would call corrupt,” the incoming Democratic Texas Attorney General Nathan Johnson told me. “My approach will be quite different.”

NEW: MAGA's own private law firm is going to be run by a Democrat. I talked to Texas Attorney General-elect Nathan Johnson, who plans big changes that will have nationwide implications: www.nbcnews.com/politics/202...

Leave to the Democrats to not be able to bask in the glow of this blowout for more than 8 hours before complaining about all the stuff they didn't get done perfectly. Perfect is the enemy of good and will be the party's undoing

Folks: Peggy Flanagan did NOT win Klobuchar's seat. She won Tina Smith's seat. So Klobuchar's will become vacant and she gets to name a replacement, as will Marsha Blackburn.

Wow. When the Texas trans youth care ban went to the Texas state supreme court, it was not a 9-0 decision. It was 8-1. Debra Lehrmann (R) called the ban "cruel" and "unconstitutional." She will be joined by 4 dems in a 5-4 court. There is a chance every anti-trans measure could fall in Texas.
