I've been working on a custom soundfont to ship along with this thing, as well as some advanced features like burst mode. It'll let you idle a disc for a specified number of revolutions and then spin a specified number of times. Think I'm nearing the max amount of features I want this to have!

Aye aye aye. Did what I had to but glad to be in a place where I can regulate my nervous system again. I had been overworking and frying myself out for the last like 3 years but also all my life. I know, many of us do this. It's incentivized. I get it. But it is also bad

there are no wrong notes just your perception of the purpose of a note and its context. wrongness is applying judgement in the process where it doesn't always belong. this is a pitfall even many teachers can to fall into

Got a good job down at the Data Center. I work on the line, and it's hard work but it's honest and the wage is fair; my family and I are grateful for it. I rivet the word "absolutely" onto the little apologies that chatbots do when they misunderstand a prompt.

Hassett: "Data centers are very good for towns bc they create so many jobs & bring people in with high incomes that can buy houses & stuff like that. So if you take a sleepy town that hasn't seen much in the last 30 years & put a data center there, there are gonna be a bunch of happy residents."

After my parents were visiting set for the first time, I asked my dad what he thought. He said “I didnt realize, it’s like you’re building a house, and once an hour good looking people run in and put on a play for five minutes. Then they leave and you go back to construction.”
