i hate that AI companies have muddied the word "generative" Generative art: procedural art created using a *system of mathematical rules designed intentionally* by the artist. AI-generated: created by automated systems (LLMs) using opaque, extractive processes unknown to both the user and viewer.

pretty much what it comes down to is whether or not preserving my switch mainline pokemon data is worth the risk of subbing out a very important part with a generic market replacement. prices seem to be the same as do the wait times ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

anyone got any advice for switch 2 repairs? p sure i fucked up my pmic chip using a seemingly benign 3rd party charging cable (with the proprietary block). if i send to Nintendo they’re gonna charge me a ton and just replace the whole machine

wanna rehighlight this track I made for a really cool compilation a couple years ago. one of my more recent experimental favs plenty of ~vibe~ microtonalism here, very temporally amorphous too. riyl 'Soft Train' soundcloud.com/monasteryrec...

I think there is a real reason why a lot of older creators fall into the AI usage trap. It often happens to creators who were ahead of their time with technology/style in the past, and think this is their chance to regain the edge, rejoin the young folks, be able to complete another project quickly.

there is rly no such thing as obsolescence as an artist. tech people assume everyone is scared of that the way they are and the whole conceit of being a creative is that it *doesn’t* work that way
