Okay, I did it! I'm now offering translations/localizations for games. At the moment I'll only offer translations for visual novels and RPG Maker games. I put a general rate but it's still negotiable (as long as I don't get offered peanuts for translating an extremely long game).

I’m seeing a lot of people who feel upset and betrayed about this. I’d like to give some perspective on this as a software engineer to help other game devs understand it better. Specifically, I want to answer what is he saying, what does it mean, and what does it mean for you specifically.

Before that I've used other tools (code completion, etc.) I don't vibe code Ren'Py, though - that's not something you do if you want a project you can maintain. 1/2

People are talking about renpy using some (limited) amount of AI code and I see some friends confused and stressed because they're concerned with being able to offer things to people "AI Free". I think looking at your entire software chain like that isn't useful and is just going to drive you mad.
