Reading an academic article for school and just managed to read "postcolonial reflections" as "postcoital reflections." Friends, I cannot overstate the take I doubled there.

i am a depressed lady whose brain is glued together with effexor and vyvanse. hope takes effort but putting in that work is actually my duty. my ancestors did not survive for me to give up on the generations down the road.

if for no other reason, living as well as one can is the best revenge & taking time for rest or joy is a part of resistance as it makes it harder for the bastards to grind you down i’ve worked with patients that fuel their recovery with spite & i’m here for it

people still want to act like nihilism is cool but it is actually bullshit compliance. humans are not going away. we get to decide if future generations suffer or if they live free. hope is punk as fuck. our oppressors want us to believe we have no power and nothing is possible. it’s not true.

So a person I've known for many years traveled to my town this weekend to work with me. I was meant to be paid for this work.
