Ever since I lost my dad a month ago I just can't stop thinking about him and crying. Listening to his itunes playlist on his phone helps, makes me smile. I always loved how my dad was not a Prince fan but the only song he loved from Prince that he has on his playlist is "Baby, I'm A Star." ✨

Just saw Wicked: For Good. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't good either. It had major pacing and plotting issues that sucked the energy and concentration out of the whole thing, and it was emotionally stifling. To sum it up for me anyway, I was underwhelmed, but at least I saw it.

i feel like i'm the only one that's not connecting with rosalia's LUX. It's not that I didn't like it, but it's being treated as this mind-blowing life-changing experience and I'm just not hearing/feeling that at all.

Just a thought: How about we stop shaming the poor for buying things that may not be essential, and start shaming the rich for making a profit off things that are essential?

look i’m just gonna say it, the nytmag article about women taking testosterone activated everyone’s latent misogyny. you all need to shut the fuck up and stop scolding women for wanting their sex drive back or because they fuck men and you’re assuming their husbands are losers

Anyway this is my appeal, once again, that if you ever have an interesting take or critique of a trans book you read, WRITE IT DOWN. Make a free blog and publish it! It's a desert out here, and the only way to become a critic is to just start doing it. Start now. Start yesterday.

Aside from the obvious factor of our (uneven) material oppression, hostility to criticism remains the biggest stumbling block to the development of a real trans creative and intellectual scene. Until we develop a robust critical apparatus, it seems like we'll just keep playing pretend.

At an industry thing for LittlePuss and was chatting about Gendertrash with ppl, expressing amazement it's been moving the numbers it has been (which I am still amazed by). It was then in real-time I realized in addition to everything else we did print a book with two hot girls kissing on the cover
