Today, CCPA-NS released our annual Report Card on Child and Family Poverty in Nova Scotia using 2023 data. In 2023, more than 40,000 children in Nova Scotia lived in poverty. Read the report: www.policyalternatives.ca/news-researc... #nspoli
Something is terribly wrong. Canada needs interventions to safeguard first-food systems. Infants has a right to food, and families have a right to feed.

Largest increase in a single year. We need to end all forms of poverty. The development of our youngest are most vulnerable to long term effects. 1 in 5 children. 1 in 4 babies. Gov needs to support families. We lifted them with pandemic benefits. It can be done.

This article was a long time coming. Many years ago mothers introduced me to finding formula online. Students at @AcadiaSociology spent a year with me on Kijiji and Facebook exploring what was going on from coast to coast. It was more than we imagined. www.tandfonline.com/doi/full/10....
