This was a fun project! I can now remotely toggle my media server via the motherboard pins and trigger soft off via a python listener. To finish the firmware today, I added a counter for the current streams and a warning prompt if shutdowns attempted if someone's still streaming.

Spent today prototyping a remote on/off switch for my media server. It uses an ESP32 and a normally open relay to short the pwr pins when it receives a command via HTTP. Remote shutdown is handled gracefully by a python listener on the server when the controller sends a request.
