The First Amendment is a foundational promise to every American: Each of us has the freedom to speak, to report, and to hold those in power accountable without fear of retribution or retaliation.

Today, Donald Trump and his administration are once again trampling on our rights and our freedoms. Journalists Don Lemon and Georgia Fort were fulfilling their duty to the American people to report and inform, and they have been arrested for it.

Donald Trump continues to consolidate power and show a flagrant disregard for the rule of law. This arrest is another affront to our rights and freedoms and should alarm and enrage us.

Voting NO on the DHS funding bill is the bare minimum. Backing Kristi Noem’s impeachment is the bare minimum. Holding law-breaking ICE agents legally accountable is the bare minimum. ICE is beyond reform. Abolish it.

The media (and everyone else) need to stop referring to ICE as "law enforcement". They are out to perform "ethnic cleansing" and to terrorize the population. There is nothing "lawful" about it.

Calling for violence against members of Congress is unacceptable — from anyone. The President’s words matter, and this kind of rhetoric puts our entire country at risk. All leaders and all Americans must condemn it.

Political violence is on the rise and the president is calling for the death of Members of Congress. This is the same person who has already incited a violent insurrection on the Capitol because of his rhetoric and lies. We cannot accept or normalize this.

BREAKING: The U.S. Coast Guard just announced they won’t classify swastikas and nooses as hate symbols anymore they’re calling them ‘potentially divisive.’ Potentially divisive? Listen, a noose isn’t a conversation starter. A swastika isn’t a debate topic. They are dangerous hate symbols. Full stop
