Holy shit #Lanterns did not come to play. I was completely unspoiled for the episode and I actually was expecting it to be directed by Sally Richardson but Steven Williams fucking nailed it HOLY SHIT.
BIG THIS. I first started working as a temp in the late 90s where there were mandatory dress codes. not only should a woman not have to dress like a man in order to be taken seriously, but a woman shouldn't have to wear makeup and nylons either to prove they are qualified either.

Part of the pure joy of our Justice League Unlimited rewatch has been introducing Candice to the work of the legendary Dwayne McDuffie. We just started Justice League: Doom and he was fucking genius at introducing characters and their relationships economically and entertainingly. Act 1 is FLAWLESS.
Watching #Lanterns has actually made me even more nostalgic for Homefront, the ABC series from 1992 set in post-WWII Ohio which was where I first encountered Kyle Chandler. I don't even like baseball but I love that show like pie. I really wish I could own it on Blu-ray, not going to lie.
