#samandmax20th Sam & Max Season One never would have happened if not for Sam & Max: Freelance Police, a LucasArts game that was cancelled on March 3, 2004 — just a few months before its expected release. (Psst, share this thread for a chance to win a game key!)

The game's cancellation sent a shockwave through the adventure game fandom, prompting a flood of angry letters to LucasArts and an online petition that collected more than 30K signatures. The powers-that-be were unmoved, but people who had been working on Sam & Max: Freelance Police took notice.

and when I see people repeating the delusion that art (ESPECIALLY furry art) isn’t inherently entangled in politics, THIS IS PART OF THAT. if youre just here to get your rocks off then TOUGH SHIT “politics“ is going to happen TO YOU if you don’t lock in and realize how serious this shit is!!!!!

There was no accountability for DOGE so he is going to keep doing it. Dems should promise to minimize contracts with clearly partisan government contractors and to impose more regulatory scrutiny on Musk. At this point, nothing to lose. www.nytimes.com/2026/10/12/u...

I left twitter *because* it was an echo chamber for the worst people in the world but sure, let's forget that for a second. It also: -sucks to use -is impossible to promote your work -is overrun with crypto scams -rewards, in some cases monetarily, acting as insane as possible

Some observers warn that progressives risk placing themselves in an echo chamber—or ceding a much larger user base to their opponents—if they abandon the rival posting site, X.

i once again stress that every time you blow claude tokens on some shit what you are actually doing is contributing to anthropic's "see, people do use this" inflated value - anthropic, who is still partnered with ICE. if your 'community' is willing to overlook that, then fuck your community, im out

You cannot support HP without supporting JKR. There is no line to be drawn. Simply showing support, even if you aren't buying anything, helps boost her social standings which gives her more power over others to do as she pleases. (aka commit trans genocide) I will block you if you support HP.

I'm horrifically disappointed to see people hopping into a harry potter art trend after all the heinous garbage jk rowling has done to multiple communities Not so friendly reminder that she's using this as free advertising and you ARE supporting her indirectly for this.

It is a very big risk to pin all your hopes for the future on elections in a time when an increasingly powerful and reactionary ruling class is backing far-right candidates with everything they've got. Let's organize so we can keep fighting no matter how the elections go. crimethinc.com/Brazil2026

Brazil is voting today, and while the presidential election is likely to go to a runoff — the results are a clear and significant shift to the right since the 2022 election and set up Flávio Bolsonaro very well to oust Lula in the October 25 runoff.

The religious right is steadily expanding its definition of what is sexual — and restricting what it deems acceptable in public spaces. Tech companies, in want of less oversight, are taking the hint. The deplatforming that started with sex workers / kink / trans has come for gay bars.
