The law around trans equality is fundamentally broken. Government inaction is hanging trans people and organisations out to dry - with a confusing mess of challenging rules and lawfare.

I think Bluesky may not be for me. It's clear that the platform lacks the diversity that I value. For example I've struggled to find any significantly active QTPOC posters here which I think makes conversations worse. In addition bluesky lacks the fun factor in its content.

Trump talking about meeting Theodore Roosevelt in his speech (after he was taken to a museum to speak with an AI gen version of him)... Embarrassing but also reminds me of people I come across that treat AI as if it is magic and even those that use it thoughtlessly + uncritically.

I had a reminder at work that by staying in our own bubbles we maybe are not reaching all of our allies. I mentioned the work of @guidersfortrans.bsky.social to a colleague in a random desk yap. She was totally unaware of the situation and was visibly upset and angry that this was happening today.

It's heartbreaking to hear that Damsel Collective in Hoxton a beautiful lesbian cafe/bar has closed its doors. A reminder that if we want spaces like this to exist we have to support them.

Beginning to have the realisation that perhaps bluesky is not really the place to follow UK based QTPOC folk. Perhaps I'll give Threads another go...

Every time I see someone talk about Claude I think about how they switched from female to male names as soon as they wanted the robots to seem like experts vs personal assistants.

Gal Pal's Lezzer Fest remains probably the most beautiful lesbian event I've been to. To party in honour of Lesbian Visibility Week alongside all flavours of sapphic: cis, trans, non-binary, young, old, pregnant, disabled, POC, femmes, mascs, fat, baby gay, bi and do much more - it's really special.

Those currently coming for trans rights will not stop with us. If they succeed they'll move onto equal marriage, LGBTQ+ parenting, abortion access and anti-discrimination. We must unite for trans rights to protect trans rights AND to protect so much more.
