I'd love to understand the principals in play behind the fact that new clothes are significantly more likely to be accidentally stained than old ones. Once I've worn the same thing 5 times it's generally in the clear. Do I just not respect new members of my wardrobe until they earn it?

You can put msg in your scrambled eggs. It’s allowed. It’s amazing. Plus a little sugar and white pepper 🤫

It's really hard to integrate with any kind of community on here when almost every post I want to interact with won't let me because the author doesn't follow me. It kind of feels like the model is "if we weren't familiar in the old platform you missed the boat". Just kind of makes for a dead vibe.

Watching Stath Lets Flats for the first time. Is this the most underrated British comedy of the last decade? It’s bloody hilarious and rich with characters. Granted the premise is “what if an 8 year old was a grown man” but it’s so silly and good hearted and full of quotable lines. Needs more love!

Farage, the money launderer and me: a decade of denial The Reform leader’s relationship with the UK media has enabled him to operate with impunity for years. Going from 8gb ram to 24gb ram has taken my environment built times down from 45 minutes to 10. I cannot overstate how much better this is going to make my daily life.

Many years ago I put a lot of effort into campaigning for electoral reform off the back of the Lib Dems’ disastrous coalition with the Tories. Decades later, I still believe there is no bigger issue. If the new PM does one thing right, let it be this. actionnetwork.org/petitions/an...

Dear Andy Burnham: it's time for a fair voting system

Dear Andy Burnham: it’s time to scrap First Past the Post. Our voting system only breeds instability and chaos, and poisons our political culture. We know you agree. Now is the time to fix our demo...

Small Goods in Temple Quay have just introduced me to the concept of “donut loaf”. Which is offcuts of donuts compressed into a loaf sliced and toasted, served with biscoff spread. Diet starts tomorrow.

So our Macs are now managed by Apple business 😩 which means firstly somehow all our accounts are set up with fantasy email addresses that don’t exist and then I can’t login on iCloud anywhere and account centre only on Safari. Never had such issues with my personal account. #itjustworks

Something I would not have believed about my future self 10 years ago is how unironically I now love The Minions. The first casualty of family life is your cold cynicism. And I revel in its demise.

Thanks lightbulb control app, that notification about the World Cup has really helped me feel engaged with your brand and increased the probability of me purchasing things from you line of products in future

Discovering git exclude as a function has been revolutionary. Adding my own little repo-scoped scripts without having to have them even indexed in gitignore is so good. No one will know of my secret tools...

Having checked out of here for a while, given a lot of time has passed, what’s the current state of finding relevant people? My feed still skews very American. How do I find the British folk or are we still underrepresented?

Bye Cursor 👋 I want a code editor with AI features not an AI platform with code editor features... back to VS Code

Having a skilled job, having a family, tending to the demands of corporeal form PLUS dealing with the threat of international fascism and debasement of the human experience by AI - all these things at once really make for quite an exhausting daily life. I’m ok with change, just can it slow down?

Slack and Signal out? Following the shit with Vodafone last week. Am I being personally attacked?
