R-Type was in my opinion the indisputed king of shoot 'em ups in the 80s. I think it was the first to put up gigantic biomechanical bosses, totally animated, that took at least half of the screen. Its relentless difficulty, and razor-sharp level design made every victory feel earned.

This kitty has been trying to come around for months, but was respectful of Fez. I would chase him off because I didn’t want my Fez bothered in his domain. Now that my sweet boy is gone this kitty is coming around more. It’s nice to give it pets. I’m not trying to steal the neighbors cat.
