One of the things that perplexes me about the AI business discourse is that people regularly claim that AI can do things that anyone who uses AI know it cannot do — and the CEO of OpenTable should be the first to know that ChatGPT cannot tell you whether a restaurant has open reservations.
Here’s a new form of enshittification I’ve noticed: Amazon no longer tells me what I’ve ordered in its email receipts. I have to tap to the app for that info now.
When I last rewatched The Wire, I remember thinking it felt like such a cultural artifact of the 90s even though it aired in the 2000s. (And not just because it’s ghetto gangster page tech was way out of date by the time it aired.)

My CitiBike membership is about to renew and I think it might be the year to cut the cord. After lowering the e-bike speed and raising per minute prices, a trip even with membership is touching $10, which is ridiculous to me. If I really miss e-biking, I think it might time to invest in one.
