In his final years STEVE McQUEEN traded Hollywood for a hangar at Santa Paula Airport. He lived in a converted loft above it, restored a 1945 Stearman biplane on the floor below, and was taught to fly by local instructor Sammy Mason.

But why are so many planes literally French-kissing the buildings? Am I seeing a single-loaded concourse? And are some of those busy taxilanes... single-lane? 🤔

Lots of good takes floating around re the new Dulles plan unveiled yesterday. My two less good, but still important thoughts: 1) Where the heck is the yellow people mover line going? 2) GMAFB with that sombrero atop the iconic facade. #AvGeek

Extremely interesting NEW development in the warfare, though I wish it stayed off the internet. Ukrainian unit lifts strike drones by balloon behind russian lines - mostly into Crimea - released fully charged from 10,000m altitude, for free hunt there. Very cool!
