I run the Good Anime Never Gets Old fansubs, when I'm not too busy. In the meantime I rant about old cartoons, or whatever else is on my mind.

I had a realization yesterday that The Sorcerer's Apprentice is a great allegory for Generative AI. Mickey pawns off work to an autonomous force only to have that force mindlessly use keep doing that very thing and destroy everything while using up plenty of perfectly good water in the process

It is canon to lore, as per the very second episode of the show, that johnny bravo is not a virgin. When asked by fans how this was possible, Van Partible revealed that Johnny actually gets dates/laid regularly off screen, but the show focused on his failures because it was funnier.

What really annoys me about AI is how it has warped our perception of the past. No Corporate Memphis and Comic Sans Word fliers were not a golden age. They were just as brainless and soulless as AI, AI just has made that kind of nonsense industrialized.

Insomnia so… There’s nothing wrong with the Play-Doh for Adults sets but it does speak to a wider cultural trend of smooshing childhood things into adult molds rather than seeking out grownup activities
