It's astonishing that people in positions of influence, whose job is inderstanding policy, can look at the death toll from the UK and the death toll in New Zealand during the height of Covid-19 and conclude we should have been more relaxed in the UK.

100%, most people who are talking about Ceuta (particularly Reform UK) have no idea that it's a Spanish exclave on the Moroccan coast. They're either imagining it's an island, or that it's connected to the Iberian peninsula.

It is genuinely bizarre that we’ve become acclimatized to right wingers throwing a tantrum every time a black person (particularly a black woman) is cast in something, but are also supposed to pretend that this is not racism but related to some other substantive concern.
