Environmentalist. Plant eater. Anti-capitalism. I like to draw and take photos. I have a social conscience. 💚
Cyril and his other half eating there fill in our little back garden. 🤓
The scented aroma of this stunning flower captures my attention every time I leave or enter our abode. 😁
I never stop appreciating how wonderful nature is and how all wildlife should be cherished as it enriches all our lives. 👍😊

Quite shocking really. To the left. A peaceful protest by people who really care about others. To the right, a violent protest by thugs leaving me baffled as to what the protest was hoping to achieve. Beggars belief! 🤔
"Terrorism" on the left. "Protest" on the right.
The new allotmenteers in plot 1 has caused a bit of a stir. It has provoked discussion amongst the other plotter's as to it demonstrating gravitas to the serious art of vegetable growing. I rather like, don't you?
What an interesting and atmospheric painting. Asks questions. I like it. 👍

Forget -me-nots, growing wild and free, cheered mi up as I ambled past them on mi way to Aldi. 😁
Saying good morning to mi mate Cyril. Pls click to 👂 Ta. 🐿️🤓

Access to nature is also a social justice issue. It's also a class issue. What a breath of fresh air, hearing this take from the leader of a large political party.
Protect our Green Spaces. Vote Green on Thursday!
Tis nice to stroll. Jubilee tower in the distance. Heather in the foreground. Outskirts of 'uddersfield. 😎

In our little council back garden we have a wonderful Japanese Crab Apple Tree - Malus Floribunda. Yesterday its flowers looked so pretty against a backdrop of a clear blue sky. Oh, isn't life wonderful when the sun shines. 🌞
There's nowt no surer. It's time for a sisemic shift in politics. 🤓
'twas a pleasant and sunny day in 'uddersfield yesterday. The cool wind, however, dampened my enthusiasm to sit reading outside. Oh, retirement is a wonderful thing! 😁The highlight of my day had to be seeing Jupiter in the early evening sky to the left of a waxing crescent moon. Pure joy! 😊👍
A happy St George's Day to one and all. Please note I'm no flag waving right winger, but a left wing, environmentalist, plant eater, with a social conscience, who is extremely proud, and grateful to have been born in old Blighty. 😊
Longwood Edge. On the outskirts of Huddersfield, offering a fantastic vista on a breezy Wednesday afternoon. @groomb.bsky.social 🤓
I bought a new houseplant today. Oh I do like looking after them. I like the unusual ones. The plant is called the common asparagus plant, sounds more like a vegetable to me, so I prefer the nicer sounding lace fern or asparagus grass. There is plenty of edges to this plant. #Edges 😊
I've really enjoyed reading this book. Hannah has moved me from the 'We're doomed Captain Mannering, I say, we're doomed' mind set, to one with a lot more hope in it. Her argument is supported by facts and legitimate figures. I like that. 👍😊
Tis 6.30am in the suburbs of 'uddersfield, and I'm listening to the wonderful dawn chorus. Then the jarring noise of a human, starting their selfish, noisy machine, ends my enjoyment. Pls click to listen to how the world should sound. 😊
Did u know? Some folks express their love of the natural world in poetry, or in paintings (I used to be a natural history artist before I retired). I now show my admiration, respect & concern for nature by creating an outside space that's as nature-friendly as possible. Go a bit more wild.🌿🌱🇬🇧🌱🌍🪲🐞🐝🐸🦎
I grew up on a council estate in 'uddersfield'. I played football, cricket, and hide and seek in the streets. I also walked on the walls of people's gardens leaping over there gate. Tha never sees kids in the streets na more. Tis a shame. They don't know what there missin'. 🤔

A recent, and now regular visit to our garden, is a jay. Yep, a chuffin' jay, and I'm tickled pink. This morning Jonathan. Yep, named it. 😁Tried, his best to get food from an inappropriate bird feeder. It was in an out quicker than an American F 35 stealth fighter jet. #birds 🦉😊
Mi first chuckle of the day. 🤣 My sentiments exactly. 👍
This is Hippo. He's visiting Scotland for the first time. Had no idea they made squeaky toys for humans too. 14/10 (TT: kelseydarragh)
