The situation is made more confusing by AI services including Google search. Previously, looking up an invented reference might produce results that would indicate the reference did not exist. Now Google’s AI summary will sometimes create summaries of a fake reference as though it were genuine.

I want to be very clear here: if learning about the existence of non-binary people causes a child to identify that way, they were not "corrupted". They were feeling something they didn't have a word for and they learned there is a word and they're not alone. Denying them that makes you a bad person.
