Photos from a visit to Grauerort, a German anti-ship artillery fortress between Hamburg and the North Sea. 600 mm gauge railway goes around outside the walls and moat; Don't know if had any military role in the past.

Swedish narrow gauge steam locomotive built in 1902 turning in Tallås on Jädraås–Tallås Järnväg this summer. Later in its carreer it worked as a switcher at a mine from 1948 until it was retires sometime before 1961 when it was "found" at the mine, donated, and back in service here in 1967.
