The statutes are very clear Landry does not have the authority to do this. Not just that the law is only intended to be used for things like hurricanes or terrorist attacks, its terms are explicitly defined in such a way that it only applies in such genuine "disaster" circumstances.

Louisiana Gov. Jeff Landry is taking advantage of a state law allowing the governor to suspend elections “[d]ue to the possibility of an emergency or common disaster.” That authority has typically been used in the past for hurricanes, not court decisions.

This, in its own way, is as delusional and disastrous as his pledge to wipe out their civilization just yesterday.

I did some rough math, and I figure that the loss of the two AC-130s, the lil birds and all the 1000 pound bombs, each American spent like $0.95 on the rescue of the WSO. Absolutely worth it. Unsustainable. And to what end? Operation Epstein Furry just didn’t seem like the greatest investment.
