Today is driving trails in Acadia without Mom and Dad. They had planned to let my sister's family go hiking one day on their own. My sister texted me last night that she had been hoping to spend more time with the kids because they've been bored and acting up. I must say that so far it's been nice.

I'm in my motel. Family dropped me off about 10 minutes ago and I could not be happier. Here's to four nights in an overpriced prefab building with a dozen units out back of the real motel. Now to order Doordash and pass out.

Those who didn't have it suffered and I saw their pain. The two worst experiences in my life were because I couldn't get away and just decompress for days. It's imperative for everyone I think.
