Pride is a Protest! On Wednesday, we picketed three hospitals that abandoned trans youth and their families. If hospitals can cut off one group of patient's care due to political attacks, they can cut off anyone.

During rush hour on June 24, the Gender Liberation Movement and ACT UP NY held protests outside three New York City health care monopolies that cut off gender-affirming care to transgender youth earlier this year: Mount Sinai, NYU Langone and NewYork-Presbyterian.

NYC hospitals have made a voluntary decision to end care for trans youth, preemptively bowing to the Trump administration. We demand they restart care! Join us today as we picket all three hospitals that have abandoned trans kids.

We call on @nycpride.bsky.social to ban the hospitals that ended care for trans youth from marching in the parade. At a moment when trans youth need institutions to stand firm, these hospitals chose cowardice over courage. 20 current & former grand marshals agree: www.them.us/story/nyc-pr...

The first Pride was a fight against police violence. Drag queens & Black trans women fought cops at Stonewall to win freedoms this admin is clawing back. Now and always we fight back. Support the orgs under fire. Refuse to comply. Everybody in. Nobody out. Photos: @framed.unrest @genderlib.com

Tr*nny? From Nancy Mace? Groundbreaking. In December 2024, weeks after Mace started her bathroom bigotry, GLM staged a bathroom sit-in where fifteen of us were arrested. While we were held, Mace showed up to the police headquarters and screamed slurs at us in her megaphone.

Literally every podcast I’ve ever recorded has more parents of trans kids’ voices in it than @nytimes.com ‘s Pulitzer-nominated podcast about gender care for trans kids. (Because mine have one (me) and theirs had none (none).)
