You have today off as a federal holiday because of the power of collective action. We, individually, can do things. We, together, can do GREAT things. Join your local union. If you don't have one, build one. Even two people working in solidarity have more power than one working alone.

Really need non-Black people to stop using "Rest in Power" when non-Black people die. @alexvont.bsky.social, yes Gloria Steinem passed; but posting "Rest In Power" above the picture with her and Dorothy Pitman Hughes is NOT your lane. As a historian, you should know that.

Johnny Rotten was banned from the BBC for outing someone. This should have been Tommy’s decision to make. I’m all for outing hypocritical closeted politicians whose choice affects others’ ability to live their truths. That is the *only* valid reason to do this.
