This piece is an important read for *everyone*. Especially @govpritzker Long-term care is a multi-generational set of issues (and impacts.) The current system is largely DIY, private pay, inefficient, inequitable, harmful, and a drag on the economy. The WA model looks like a much needed tool.
Those of us in the sandwich years understand the yawning gap in long term care coverage in the US. The state of Washington is running an experiment that, if successful, could be a model for others (like my home state of IL). It doesn't do it all, but is a good step. My latest @opinion.bloomberg.com
