I was making a menu last night. I saw a recipe for salad lyonnaise. I bought the baguette, bacon, lettuce eggs. I came home and it isn’t in either cookbook I had out last night. Did I dream it?
And in tonight’s dinner menu, we are pretending that gnocchi is a vegetable, because I just can’t deal with more.
I like is. “Gravity skeptics” ROFLOL. It’s not gravity that kills, it’s the sudden stop by something hard at the end of the fall.

If you make 130% of the federal poverty level, you qualify for SNAP. A family of four, making $40,560, qualifies for SNAP benefits meaning thousands of Missouri teachers qualify. I’m tired of the bullshit. Most of the people who receive snap benefits work.
The aws outage and canvas. The gift that keeps on giving. Still getting requests to take the exam late (due last Monday night) because “canvas is glitching”. So I don’t have any reason to accept the “canvas is glitching” story as 95/100 people successfully submitted the exam.

I dislike it that people can add things to my calendar that I can’t then modify. Even worse when they add something that causes the calendar to repeatedly crash. 😡🤬😡

You know it is the week before the beginning of the term when you start getting emails from administrators you have never heard of before with yet another mandatory thing you have to do with no release of anything to make it possible to do it. Time to retire.

💯 this! #Science is a team sport - when under attack we urgently need to look out for each other, retain collegial networks and collaborations, and protect students and support staff. Merely finding new opportunities for the ‘big names’ will not do.
It’s Earth Day, and some of us have spent not just our careers but our whole lives loving + studying the Earth. It is not an easy time. But I hope you take a moment today to look at something beautiful, eat something delicious, squish someone you love, pet a dog, remember the nice parts. Yay Earth.
