Oregon Alum. Duck fan. Blazers fan. Trying to be a decent person in a world that is testing everyone.

So, I spent some time watching UCLA football this week. They haven't played a good team yet this season, but they have certainly had their share of explosive plays and forcing turnovers on defense. Oregon will have to play clean in the game or it could start to look like the OK State game.

What a disgustingly dirty play by #8. 100% targeting. Now Raiola will get his chance to run the Duck offense. Let's hope Dante is OK, but he looked immediately unconscious and that's almost certainly a concussion. #goducks

Looking ahead to Oregon vs USC: This one feels like it will come down to turnovers. Ducks Oline is struggling with assignments and the D has also been suspect. Meanwhile, the Trojan offense has been good while their defense has looked bad to pathetic. Call it a 50/50 game. #GoDucks

It's about playing to a standard and finishing. Oregon didn't perform up to the standard in the previous week, so the coaches challenged the players to a man to meet the standard for the entire b game. I can see why some might see it as unsportsmanlike, but it wasn't really about PSU.

Did Oregon really need to win 84–0 against friendly in-state rival Portland State University? Yes the Ducks played backup QBs, but they were going uptempo and throwing downfield all the way to the final whistle. Why embarrass PSU like that? I felt a real sense of shame walking out of Autzen.

Oregon: 84 Portland State: 0 A mostly meaningless game, but a lot of young guys got some run. I really enjoyed watching Tradarian Ball run, and Dylan Raiola sizzling passes to a bunch of different receivers. Also, really cool seeing Akili Smith Jr. passing to Josh Bidwell's son. #goducks

Having to stop Oregon’s pass catchers for four quarters is a borderline impossible task. Just so much explosiveness and big-play ability between Dakorien Moore, Jeremiah McClellan, Jamari Johnson, and Evan Stewart. All future Sunday players.
