Kyle Clark@kylec.bsky.social · 2w agoANALYSIS: Phil Weiser's selection of Jeffco commissioner Lesley Dahlkemper as his running mate is a safe choice. Dahlkemper is experienced and disciplined. It's not about covering a weakness or uniting the party. It's a heavy frontrunner picking his desired governing partner.
This feels like the admission of something that virtually everyone already thought was happening for years.

When Marx inevitably gets absolutely crushed by Weiser in November; you can bet the farm on him immediately getting into election rigging conspiracies, even though the exact same system that he won the nomination through will elect Weiser Governor.

Amid the usual images (a handshake with a FOX anchor, cheering crowds, hands lifted in prayer, an unflattering photo of his Democratic opponent), the Marx campaign took a shot at his defeated GOP rival, whose voters he’ll need to win.

Lazear@lazear.bsky.social · 2w agoTalk about wildly swinging in the wrong direction. It would be super easy for Sayed to win jewish trust by making it clear he won't take the "jewish space laser" ladies endorsement so this is a hell of a choice.
Incrementalism shouldn't be a dirty word, it's the only way this country has gotten anything big, real, durable, and tangible done over the longer term. Everything builds on what came before. If your goal is Medicare for All, this feels like a very smart next step.
